Metrolink Train Riders Go Hi-Tech
Contributed by: Brian Buss on 11/14/2007

Stretching from Montalvo station in Ventura all the way to Oceanside, Riverside, San Bernardino and Palmdale, the easiest way to commute in the Southland is via Metrolink trains. Now Metrolink riders are signing up for a new free service that allows them to send and receive train delay alerts on their cell phones or mobile devices.

EMetrolink.com launched in October was founded and is operated by Metrolink passengers. When a train is late or cancelled, passengers can receive notice on their cell phones and via email, saving them the time of driving to the station.

Metrolink operates lines that stretch across Southern California, including the Ventura County line with station stops in Montalvo, Oxnard, Camarillo, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Chatsworth, Northridge, Van Nuys, Burbank, Glendale and finally Union Station. Thousands of passengers enjoy a stress free commute on clean, reliable, comfortable trains.
