Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007-CSUCI Business & Technology Partnership Holiday Mixer

California State University Channel Islands Business & Technology Partnership (B&TP) will host its fifth-annual Holiday Mixer on Thursday, Dec. 6. The event will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by a presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. given by Dr. James W. Beletic, Teledyne Imaging Sensors, Director of Astronomy & Civil Space. Both the reception and presentation will be held on the CSUCI campus at the Aliso Hall Auditorium. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $35 for B&TP members and are $50 for non-members. Limited parking is available on campus and is $6 for a daily permit. Free parking is available at the Camarillo Metrolink Station/Lewis Road parking lot in Camarillo with shuttle service to and from the campus until 10 p.m. Riders should board the CSUCI Vista bus. There will be way-finding signage on campus directing attendees to parking and the event.

James W. Beletic is the Director of Astronomy & Civil Space at Teledyne Imaging Sensors (TIS) in Camarillo. TIS is a world leader in the development and production of high performance visible and infrared focal plane arrays. TIS arrays are used by nearly every major astronomical observatory, on the ground and in space, including the Hubble Space Telescope. TIS arrays are also in several planetary exploration missions and Earth science missions, such as the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, GOES weather satellite and the Orbiting Carbon Observatory.
