Friends and guests alike applauded Robert Rose as he received his diploma for completing the Residential Wireman apprenticeship on December 14th in McLaughlin Hall at Ventura First Assembly of God Church.
Robert is a California native who has been an electrician with Denny's Electric for nearly 3 years. In addition to becoming a journeyman residential electrician, he also recently passed his State Certification Test with flying colors.
A rigorous course, the apprenticeship curriculum covers many trade areas from electrical theory to conduit bending to motor controls to load calculations. Also taught are customer service skills, communication and problem solving.
According to Robert, the most challenging aspect of the apprenticeship was "juggling work, school and family life." He has demonstrated tremendous perseverance while completing the Residential Electrician Apprenticeship that is sponsored by Denny's Electric. In addition to being a valuable member of the Denny's team, his goals include commercial electrical certification and top technician at the company.
