The Central Coast will have the opportunity to enjoy the magic of Mr. 500, Andy Granatelli, on Saturday, October 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Murphy Auto Museum, 2230 Statham Boulevard, Oxnard.
Themed, "Race Day," the Murphy Auto Museum will feature Granatelli who is scheduled to begin speaking at 1:30 p.m., followed by questions and answers. In addition, Jim Naylor of Ventura Raceway will present Granatelli with the 5 th Annual Murphy Auto Museum, "Automotive Personality of the Year Award."
Tickets are $20 and will be on sale at the door. Advanced reservations are recommended.
Granatelli carries a list of accomplishments including Knighthood and 22 Halls of Fame in 12 different categories.
"This will be a unique opportunity to be with a racing legend in an intimate setting where individuals can learn all about Andy's past: race car driver, engine builder, Studebaker Days, STP, Indianapolis, Daytona, and so much more," noted Dan Murphy, owner of the Murphy Auto Museum.
The Murphy Auto Museum in Oxnard, California, a 501c(3) Charitable organization, is housed in a 40,000 square foot space and has 80 vehicles of all types ranging from a 1903 Oldsmobile to a 1991 Bentley. Museum docents will be on hand to tour groups through the collection of vehicles.
