"What...Good Italian cuisine in Oxnard?"
Contributed by: PAULA GAMBOA on 3/12/2007

I grew up in Oxnard from birth till I turned about 28, then I left for the big city...LA. Wow talk about deciding where to eat and what to eat every night since I was a single person. It was quiet an adventure. I lived in Los Angeles for about 15 years and a little under 2 years ago, I moved back to my old neighborhood by Durley Park. Trying to find a good place to eat was always a chore...not much choice. Of course there are lots of Taquerias (taco stands), fast food joints and greasy spoons here and there..
One night my sister who was visiting from San Francisco and I went to the Plaza 14 in Oxnard to catch a movie. As we arrived we saw that "Capriccio's" was up and running and said what the heck....let's try it! Well, much to our surprise the food was excellent, the service was excellent and the ambience was good for Oxnard.

Since that night, I have taken friends and other family members there. The shrimp scampi is divine. They have a baked salmon dish that is to die for....
It is kid friendly, the atmosphere is laid back and pleasant for a casual night out or for a date night!

Check it out.....
