Recently there was an article in the Ventura County Star newspaper for one to write about their Pet Peeves. An informal survey revolved around super market etiquette, driving behavior, people who don't clean up after their dogs, etc. But first and formost for me and my elderly friends are the advertisers, stories of various subjects, that if you need more what , when and where, they request that you send your questions by e-mail to who-ever or what-ever one is looking for. That's great, but what about people who don't have a computer or if one is available, most older people don't know how to use it and have no desire to learn. Ture, some ads list a phone number to call or address for mailing but not all of them. Thanks Ventura County Star for continuing to list those phone numbers and addresses to send mail for us "old" people who don't have computer technology to send our pet peeves to!

I definately agree. What happened to the real people for customer relations and help issues? Everyone needs to consider every generation when setting company standards. Mrs. Hadfield has hit this right on the money.

There are many times I would much rather speak with a human being... making travel arrangements, getting help with my phone bill, etc. It seems no matter who we call for customer service, there is always a recording directing us to a web site... where prices are lower and service is faster -- yeah right! It's frustrating enough for those of us that own computers and prefer not to use them; it must be extremely frustrating for those that do not own a computer and do not know how to use one. What happened to "Hello... and how may I help you today?" I agree with Mrs. Hadfield completely!

I have to totally agree with Mrs.Hadfield. I work with alot of people who get extremely frustrated with the whole tech age when they don't even use the computers themselves. Many people feel it is all too impesonal and I must agree!!!

Mrs. Hadfield was right on the money regarding older people & computers. My husband will not even touch one let alone sit down & play, and he is only 62!!!
