The Oxnard Independent Film Festival (OIFF) has extended its submission deadline for entries. Aspiring filmmakers can send in their films no later than Friday, June 15, 2007.
The festival accepts entries in the following categories: narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, and music video. Works-in-progress will not be accepted. Submissons in languages other than English must have English subtitles. The festival does not present technical or instructional films.
Films and videos, completed after January 1, 2005, are now being accepted for consideration. All submissions must be made on NTSC (standard) 1/2" VHS video or DVD for consideration by the Festival's Selection Committee. Films and videos selected for the festival will be announced in late July.
The festival also has a category specifically for young filmmakers. All entries must be written and directed by teens between the ages of 13-19 years of age.
Categories include, documentary, fiction, animation, public service announcements (PSAs), and music videos.
The Oxnard Independent Film Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary at Plaza Cinemas 14 in Downtown Oxnard. The festival runs September 20-23 and 28-30, 2007.
To download a copy of the official entry form, and for a complete listing of all the festival rules and guidelines, please visit: www.oxnardfilmfest.com. Or, call the film festival office at (805) 385-8326.

Oxnard is bringing it back and its getting bigger and better every year. This is a great event and everyone should stop by the theater and watch the great films the Film Festival has to offer.
