City of Oxnard Senior Legends Games

The 1st Annual Oxnard Senior Legends Games - "Promoting an Active Lifestyle" has begun with the following events:

Friday, May 4th, the City of Oxnard Recreation & Community Services hosted the Basketball Skills Competition at the Oxnard Police Activity Gymnasium.

60+ Division - Butch Hernandez won Gold in Free Throw Shooting, Three Point and Hot Shot competition.

65+ Division - Jerry Spunt won Gold in Free Throw Shooting and took Silver in both Three Point and Hot Shot competition. Dick Crowther won Gold in both Three Point and Hot Shot and took a Silver in Free Throw Shooting competition.

70+ Division - Shig Yabu won Gold in Free Throw Shooting, Three Point and Hot Shots competiton.

Saturday, May 5th, the City of Oxnard Recreation & Community Services hosted the 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament at the Oxnard Police Activity Gymnasium.

50+ Division
Team Quete - Robert Herrera, Richard Tepezano, Paul Schlingenslepen and Shig Yabu took Gold.

60+ Division
All-Star Awning - Jim Krall, Michael Hale, Lloyd Searl, Steve Ryland, Bob Swedlow and Mike Hyatt took Gold.

65+ Division
Thousand Oaks 65's - John Steltzoff, Jack Paulson,Phil Spellman and Don Salado took Gold.

All Star Awning - 73 Thousand Oaks 65's - 46.
