Javier "Pelos" Garcia continued the Garcia legacy with a second round knockout in his pro debut Thursday night at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Garcia came out relaxed and patient in the first round but landed with over hand rights that left some bruising over his opponents left eye. In the second round Javier floored his opponent with body shots that sent him to the ground and was then counted out. Garcia almost didn't fight when his original opponent Freudas Rojas did not pass his eye exam. luckily a replacement was found and Garcia agreed to fight at 138 lbs instead of the original 135 lbs while his opponent weighed 142lbs.. Javier is promoted by Top Rank Inc. and is trained by his uncle former champ Roberto Garcia. They represent La Colonia/Pal boxing club in Oxnard.
