Christmas Tree Recycling-Free for Oxnard Residents
The City of Oxnard is providing FREE Christmas tree collection services to Oxnard residents from Wednesday, December 26, 2007, through Friday, January 18, 2008. For flocked, painted or fireproofed trees, there will be a $10 charge for pick up. A $10 charge will also apply for trees picked up after January 18, 2008.
Please follow these instructions when preparing your tree for pick-up:
- Trees must
not be placed in yard waste containers.
- Remove tree stands, plastic bags, all ornaments, lights, nails, tinsel & metal rod supports from the tree.
- Trees longer than 6 feet in length should be cut in half.
- Place your Christmas tree next to your split-cart by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day.*
If you live in a multi-family dwelling such as an apartment or condo, please contact your property manager for further direction. If you do not have a property manager or homeowner's association, please put the tree by your bin during the December 26 - January 18 collection period. The same rules for tree collection apply.
You may also dispose of your tree by dropping it off at one of these collection centers in Oxnard:
- Del Norte Recycling Center- Next to Buy-Back Center, Enter on Del Norte Blvd.
- College Park - Rose Ave., Main Entrance
- River Ridge Golf Course - West End Entrance
- Oxnard Beach Park - Harbor Blvd. and Falkirk Ave.

*Holiday Collection Schedule Customers with Monday collection service will not be impacted by the holiday schedule and will still need to set their carts out on Mondays. Service will be delayed by one day for customers with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday collection service.
