The Heger Tiger at SPLASH 2007
Contributed by: Sandra Ford on 9/17/2007

Artist Dorothea Heger can see a tigers face in the ink absorbed and dried on rice paper, a process she calls solar painting. By drawing with pastels, charcoal and watercolor pencils, she finds the eyes and the spirit of the tiger. As a result, the viewer takes a "second look" at her paintings.
Her artwork can be seen, now through September 30, at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery along with 40 other artists of the Doyon Studio and Gallery in Camarillo.
Come take a "second look" for yourself.
Everyone is welcome.

Thousand Oaks Community Gallery
