Over the weekend Bring It On! Promotions & local trainer Ruben Juarez, staged its first amateur boxing exhibition at Tailgates Grill & Bar in Ventura to raise toys and money for underprivileged children this holiday season. All toys and money were donated to Mary Star of the Sea Church. This first show was a success with the help of local sponsors participants and personalities, 103.3 the Vibe Studdard was the ring announcer and m.c. Special appearances by James "Lights Out" Toney, Robert Garcia, UFC contender Jeremy Jackson, IBA Lightweight Champion Rolando Reyes all lending a hand in support for the ""Toys 4 Champs" toy drive. Kids traveled from abroad to participate from Santa Maria, Santa Paula, Fillmore, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura County. All in efforts for a good cause and to showcase their boxing skills. The ages of the participants range from 5 years old to 19and all participants received trophies for their efforts. There was a total of 15 boxing exhibitions, during intermission there was a 50/50 raffle along with signed autograph gloves from Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, Rolando Reyes, and Robert Garcia, also shirts and sports memorabilia were raffled off We would like to thank all our sponsors and all participants for making this first toy drive a success. Special Thanks to Dan White owner of Tailgates Grill & Bar , Nerces from Nerces Fine Jewelry, Ruben Juarez, American Legion Oxnard, Nighthawks, Sports Zone, Rad Concepts, Studdard from 103.3 the Vibe, D.J. Eddie and all the boxers.
