What will the world be like for your grandchildren

Here I am with my new Grandson, born 11/13/06, he is the love of my life! I can't help be think about how fortunate he is to have the love, security and shelter that God has provided him. My heart goes out to the kids that don't get that great of a start in life. Katrina, Darfur and Mexico comes to mine. Here is where I want tro examine the future of this earth, what it has in store for my little Diego, and what direction we are headed.

What are you thankful for today? I am thankful that I have a nice, cozy place to live, with a good husband and family.

My heart gets heavy with sadness when I think about all those helpless, needy kids that have no food or shelter, and their helpless parents that have so much love for their kids and can't provide even the most basic of living essentials.
I see families driving around in their SUV's, fulfilling theirs kid's every whim as seen on TV, without a thought or a notion of doing without.
Do they ever to and think about those that are less fortunate? What are they doing to contribute to our world? Do they realize that in reality we are One, we may have different skin colors, beliefs and genders, but we are all one and the same.What is their mind-set.....greed or sharing? kindness or hate?Selfishness or regard for our earth? Have they ever thought of Global Warming, conservation or providing food and shelter for those in need?

What if disaster hit? Here is Southern Calif. we are vulnerable to earth-quakes, fire and mud-slides. Is your family ready? I am an advocate for Prepare then Share, an organization that helps your family prepare for disaster and then helps others in their time of need. Do something today to give back your good, no matter how small or large, do a kindness for another everyday, not only during this holiday season, but each and every day of your life.
