Simi Valley, CA (August 21, 2007) - Sun Brothers Enterprises, Inc. and Welcome to the Neighborhood Magazine are teaming up to fight childhood hunger with the first annual "Sugar and Spice" Bake Sale on Sunday, August 26 at 10:00 a.m. -- in the front parking lot of Sun Brothers Enterprises, Inc., 4350 Eileen Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063. The bake sale is part of the Share Our Strength Great American Bake Sale, a national campaign that mobilizes people of all ages to end childhood hunger in America by holding community bake sales.
The bake sale will feature an array of baked goods, such as cookies, brownies and pies donated from local restaurants, such as Romano's Macaroni Grill. California Pizza Kitchen is donating their time and famous key lime pie, as well as gift certificates for two dinners and a pizza tour for children. Marie Callendars is also donating their notorious cream pies. Funds raised through the "Sugar and Spice" Bake Sale will support local organizations that work to increase participation by low-income children in summer and after-school feeding programs and to support nutrition education programs for low-income families.
Nationally, there are more than 12 million children at risk of hunger. If anyone would like to donate bake goods or participate in the sale, or for more information please contact Nannette Gonzalez at 805-526-5794. For more information about Share Our Strength's Great American Bake Sale visit the Web site at www.greatamericanbakesale.org.

I would like to donate baked goods. Do I have to buy them or can I bake them myself?
