Camarillo Hospice and The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation
team up to help local seniors
CAMARILLO, CA - November 27, 2007 - As part of a $5,000.00 grant from The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, Camarillo Hospice will support volunteer hospice and bereavement support programs to seniors in Ventura County for local seniors. The program will provide services to 1,200 in need of assistance in dealing with life threatening illness and grief.
The Camarillo Hospice has provided volunteer hospice and bereavement support programs to older adults since 1978. Sandy Nirenberg, Executive Director says, "We truly are honored to receive this generous grant from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation. These funds will help us continue to assist seniors in our community with care, comfort, support and counseling as they struggle with end-of-life issues, the pressures of care giving and the grief of losing a loved one." Camarillo Hospice is one of eighteen organizations awarded grant funding from The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation in 2007.
Volunteer hospice and bereavement support programs to seniors is made possible by a grant from The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation. "Our missions are very similar to Camarillo Hospice, as we both help improve the quality of life for older adults," said Paul Hogan, Executive Director of The Foundation. "We are pleased to be able to provide financial support to Camarillo Hospice for the advocacy, safety and well-being of seniors," Hogan said.
