Participants are beginning to register for the Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament being offered by Simi Valley Kiwanis, even before the brochures are printed. The club is buffing up their major event by including 36 celebrities from the sports and entertainment world who will join the golfers.

To be held on Friday, May 4 th at Moorpark Country Club, the day of golf will include green fees and carts, contests, driving range, lunch, goodie bag, live auction, opportunity drawings, an awards dinner, and hole-in-one prizes.

Actively seeking Sponsors, the club is offering several packages that may include tee signs and name recognition, plaques and banners, program advertising, and raffle tickets. Hole Sponsors receive a table at their hole for display of products or information. Program ads will also be offered.

Kiwanis members are now selling opportunity drawing tickets for a chance to win a free day of golf for two at the tournament. Tickets are $10 each, with the drawing to be held on Wednesday, April 25 th; winner need not be present.

A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will benefit health and welfare organizations of Simi Valley, through the Simi Valley Community Foundation.
