Youth Football Players Need Your Support

The Simi Valley Vikings Football organization is a phenomenal force in our community that is in its 44 th year. Every weekday evening for the last 2 months, hundreds of our young boys (and a girl!) have been running and sweating and drilling and working to condition themselves for the football season. They are not killing time at the mall or hanging around outside the movie theaters.

They are busy. They are excited and dedicated. They are focused and working hard. And they need your help. Each of the kids pays a $300 dollar registration fee but this still does not cover all the costs associated with running a football league. They need sponsors. Your donation to Simi Valley Vikings Football would help about 400 kids (ages 6 to 14) who are playing on 21 teams this year.

This is the kind of organization that directly benefits our community. The media rattles on and on about the childhood obesity epidemic and skyrocketing juvenile diabetes, eating disorders, and self esteem issues. These kids in Simi Valley Vikings Football are on the right path and are building friendships, discipline, and healthy bodies all while enjoying football.

Come on down to Apollo High School Football Field and watch the Mean Green Bantam team practice at 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, or come out to watch the games on Saturdays. The future of our community's young kids is worth investing in now.

This should have said that we are all under the organization of Simi Valley Vikings as one great big team. There are more than just this one team out there. If someone would like to sponsor the league, please visit the website at simivalleyvikingsandcheer.com
