Don't you hate it when "experts" give people bad advice? When they cop out and say "Talk to a therapist"? Well, here is the straight-up, politically INcorrect advice that will save these poor people a trip to the therapist's office.

Wife wonders about her husband's 22-year-old stripper "friend"

Dear Annie: I usually don't answer my husband's cell phone, but I picked it up while he was working in the garage. A woman said, "Hey, hon, how are ya?" I asked if she wanted to speak to my husband, and she slammed down the phone. I then asked my husband if he knew who she was, and he said it was a friend he sometimes helps with her tires. He is a truck driver.

I made note of the number and checked the cell phone bills. Apparently, the two of them have been talking quite a bit. He has her personal phone number, and he calls her more than he calls our home. After more questioning, he admitted this woman works in a strip club, but he says they only talk.

Does this sound like "just friends" to you? He claims the women in the strip club can't have relationships with the customers and he only goes in for coffee because the bar has the best around. Also, she's 22 and he's 52. What's your take on this? - The Wife in the Dark

ANNIE'S ANSWER

Dear Wife: He goes to a strip club for the coffee? We hope you haven't bought any bridges from him lately. Your husband has developed a relationship with this young woman that may or may not include sex, but it certainly includes more emotional intimacy than it should. Marriage counseling - with or without him.

THE ANSWER SHOULD HAVE BEEN:

Dear Wife: You don't need marriage counseling, hon. Your husband needs marriage counseling. You simply need to learn how to wake up and smell the coffee a bit better.

It's obvious what is going on here. He may be helping this young lady with her tires, but you are the one getting jacked.

If you need more convincing, ask your husband to take you to the strip club while this gal is working. It would be a wonderful opportunity to meet his "friend" and decide if the coffee is indeed THAT good.
