Blog Entry 5 of 6 Open Your Eyes

Hi Ventura. You are such a loving, good, chariatable community. Do you see the homeless ? The Alcaholics ? the Drug Addicts ? They all reside on Ventura Avenue. You can find them as a group at "Project Understanding" Now just imagine. What if ? What if just one family in the community, took one of these "poor Un-fortunates" home for a week ? Do you think that would "mushroom" ? I do. I think we could be a "model city" in helping our poor, in a "hands on" way. What do you think ???

My Best Friend, "Yum's"

What a day, March 18, 2006. The day after my Annual Saint Patrick's Day Party.
Almost three months since I had lost my Beloved Turtle, "Scooter"
Well my friend and I headed out to Thousand Oaks, to Miss Michelle's house. I had talked to her several times about her "hand raised" Turtles.
She showed me a few and than picked up "Yum's" I said that's "Yum's" she said no that's "Sweet Pea".
Yum's Sweet Pea Smith, what a nice name.
Well it's been almost a year. She walks with me outside in the courtyard of our apartment house, she's the mascot. She gets her daily swim in the sink
and her share of her favorite food Avocado's.
She is lovingly tucked in on her bed of grass. Yes she is spoiled but so am I.
She is my little girl- my "Little Yum's"
