This will be my final blog as the YourHub.com promotions manager. I have accepted a position with the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA). This new job is not only closer to my home in the San Fernando Valley, but puts me one step closer to my dream job.
I really enjoyed my time as promotions manager for YourHub.com and was not looking to change positions anytime soon. However, this new position seemed to simply fall into my lap, so as of Friday, July 13 I will no longer be working with the YourHub.com team.
It has been a pleasure to attend your events, speak at your meetings and read about your communities. Nearly every day of my time spent promoting YourHub.com has been both gratifying and fun. From great coworkers to the supportive and enthusiastic users, it has been an absolute pleasure.
I was particularly impressed with the way members of the community stepped up to help promote YourHub.com in their neighborhoods. After attending a YourHub.com 101 meeting in Camarillo, Jim Hensley, president of the Greater Organization of Democrats (The GOOD Club), called me to ask if he could take some of my business cards and YourHub.com flyers to meetings. He also arranged for me to come speak at another meeting. And Jim was not the only YourHub.com user to do this!
I hope that you will all continue to support the YourHub.com staff as they work to make YourHub.com the best that it can be. This group is committed to seeing YourHub.com realize its full potential, but they need your support to make it happen.
And so I say goodbye to you, YourHub.com and the YourHub.com staff. Again, this has been an exciting project to work on and I wish continued success to YourHub.com.
Keep posting and sharing your experiences on YourHub.com!
