What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS GOOD EXERCISE, SOCIALIZING AND EXPLORATING OF DOWNTOWN VENTURA This friendly evening weekly urban hike in Ventura meets every Wednesday between 6:45 and 7:00 p.m. The hike is approximately 4.5 mile long and startes in front of the San Buenaventura mission at the fountain promptly at 7:00 p.m. The trails will vary. All trails go through Grant Park's hillside to Father Serra's Cross (On the way there are spectacular scenic views of Ventura, sunsets and the Channel Islands). Hike continues across hillside, down to the ocean, out to end of pier, along promenade/bike trail and finally loops back to the mission. One should be advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and not to over exert themselves, for we re-group at various places and would like see you back every Wednesday evening!!! Afterwards, many continue this gathing as a social event by meeting at the Busy Bee for snacks and beverages. The hike normally has between 50 to 120 participants and last an hour and forty-five minutes. If you wondered where your neighbor was Wednesday evenings, you might find them here!!! What a hoot of fun! This hike is a great way to meet new people. Didn't realize the Sierra Club is made up of so many different people, not just tree huggers!
