Las Vegas Cool Brought 'Vegas' to Moorpark

Hospice of the Conejo "hit the jackpot" by attracting a glamorous audience recently to Las Vegas Cool at the beautiful Moorpark Country Club.

"Our theme was built around Las Vegas but in this case, everyone came away a winner," said Deanie Scarangello, co-chair of the event. "From the tables to the auctions to the entertainment and food, everyone had a great time."

A highlight of the evening was a "scotch toast to the sunset", complete with ambling bagpiper. Besides the action at the gaming tables, over 40 items were auctioned, sometimes generating the excitement of a high-stakes poker game, with proceeds benefiting Hospice programs through the coming year.

Ms. Scarangello added, "We're thankful for the great turnout of our 'high rollers' and Las Vegas Cool could not have succeeded without the support of our many sponsors. We can't wait for next year!"
