Light up the Cross!

On Saturday night (7/7/07), I joined several hundred Brothers and Sisters in Christ from various churches in Ventura at the Grant Park Cross for an awesome time of worship and unity. We lifted our voices in the beautiful night, led by the musician Josh Nordgren. God showed his glory in the perfect Ventura Summer night and in the love of His people gathered together. As darkness fell, we used our flashlights to light up the mighty Cross on the hill for all of Ventura to see!
The messages of the pastors were of family, unity, but most importantly of service. We were encouraged to reach out as the Christian body to our community. An offering was taken and is going to be given to the City of Ventura as a gift.
It really was a perfect night. It really is "what it is all about"!
