Special Tour Honors Ventura Mystery Writer

Erle Stanley Gardner created the fictional Perry Mason while working as a lawyer in Ventura. He would become one of the most popular mystery writer in America. On Saturday December 15, the city of Ventura will offer a walking tour of local sites linked to Mr. Gardner and his fictional world of Perry Mason. This fascinating tour will be lead by Richard Senate, who spent two years investigating Mr. Gardner and his years in Ventura. The tour will start on the steps of City Hall, 501 Poli Street at 1:00 p.m. It is a two hour tour. For tickets to this tour please call 805-658-4726. Mr. Senate wrote a biography of Erle Stanley Gardner several years ago.
