Overpaid???

I went on the internet to check how much other City Manager's and City Attorney's in the United States are being paid. What I found was amazing, it seems the Gang in the Ivory Tower sees fit to pay their City Manager, $200,000.00+ /year, and City Attorney, $250,000.00+ /year, plus benefits, more money than any other cities in the entire United States, as a matter of fact they are paying their City Attorney more money than the Attorney General of the United States ($98,188 / year) makes. What I found follows:

Average Salaries for City Manager in the United States: California - $147,734 - Texas - $68,031 - Florida - $71,428. - Georgia - $67,343 - Michigan - $70,914 - Oregon - $92,734 - New Jersey - $98,401

Average Salaries for City Attorney in the United States: California - $101,083 - Texas - $96,269 - Ohio - $41,352

Quite amazing isn't it? The Gang in the Ivory Tower claim they have to pay these outrageous salaries in order to get top personnel, so far they have missed the boat. I think if you look at the salaries in other states we could get some of the best people for a lot less than is being paid to these guys.
