S-O-S Strike out Stroke Program Heart Screenings
Contributed by: Francine Sprigel on 7/24/2007

The City of Thousand will offer 311 FREE carotid artery and peripheral artery screenings to adults age 60 and older. The screenings will be conducted by On-Site Health Screening at the Goebel Senior Adult Center on August 2, 3 and 6, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling City of Thousand Oaks Senior Services staff at (805) 449-2743. Proof of residency and age will be required.

Event check-in, at the Center's Marquee Café, will be managed by Commissioners from the Thousand Oaks Council on Aging. While at the center, seniors are encouraged to pick up additional information on local senior services and fill out a senior survey. For additional information or questions, e-mail CouncilonAging@toaks.org or call (805) 449-2743.

These health screenings are made possible through a $14,000 one-time only grant from the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging "Strike out Stroke" program.
