Eric Dahl was honored by both friends and guests as he received his diploma for completing the Residential Wireman apprenticeshipon December 14th in McLaughlin Hall at Ventura First Assembly of God Church.
Eric is originally from Washington state. He has been an electrician with Denny's Electric for nearly 3 years. In addition to becoming a journeyman residential electrician, he also recently passed his State Certification Test with very high scores.
A challenging program, the apprenticeship curriculum covers many craft areas from electrical theory to conduit bending to motor controls to load calculations. Also taught are customer service skills, communication and problem solving.
According to Eric, the most challenging aspect of the apprenticeship was "trying to be alert at a night class after a full day of working." He demonstrated exceptional attention to detail while completing the Residential Electrician Apprenticeship that is sponsored by Denny's Electric. In addition to being a valuable member of the Denny's team, his goal is to someday own his own business.
