Ojai Equestrian Group Shows Off
Contributed by: Danelle Williams on 6/25/2007

Equestrian Trails International (ETI) Corral 57 in Ojai hosted their first ever High Point Horse Show on Sunday, June 24th, at the Soule Park Arena in Ojai. Over 30 riders from Bakersfield, Simi Valley, Piru, Camarillo, Ventura, and Ojai competed in 61 different classes throught the day. Participants ranged in age from 7 to over 45 years old, with the majority being in the 11 to 17 years age group. All of the competitors put in many hours of training and preparation in order to be able to impress the judges and win the coveted blue ribbon for each class. We'd like to thank all those who made the effort and invite them to our next regular show on September 2nd, again at Soule Park.
ETI is an equestrian group "dedicated to the Acquisition and Preservation of Trails, Good Horsemanship, and Equine Legislation." Member groups, known as "Corrals", are spread around the Southern California area. Each Corral hosts events throughout the year such as Trail Rides, Horse Shows, Gymkhanas, and Trail Trials. These events are designed to be enjoyed by family and friends, and are not just for members. If you'd like to know more, please check out our website at www.eticorral57.org.
