Children Celebrate their Success
Contributed by: Melia Parchman on 10/12/2007

On October 8, the students at Easter Seals Tri-Counties Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) presented their fall projects to parents, siblings and grandparents.

The students gave tours and decorated the refreshments. One of their favorite activities was showing off their new pet hamster. Artwork and craft projects were on display. The children recited a poem and showed their parents how to cook.

Easter Seals ECEC provides a creative and balanced approach to educating children from 18 months to 5 years of age.The teachers follow the Reggio Emilio philisophy of early childhood education. The school was selected as one of 35 sites in California to participate in the 2007-2008 Early Intervention for School Success, an advanced teacher training and mentoring program.

Applications are being accepted for the new semester that begins in January. Call Laurie Richards at 805-647-1141 x 11. The ECEC is located on Henderson Road in Ventura (near Wells Road and the 126 Freeway).
