VC Community Ed Registering for Spring
Contributed by: Karen Gorback on 1/1/2008

Ventura College Community Education is now taking spring registrations for more than 180 classes, seminars and workshops as well as more than 100 online learning opportunities. More than 50 new classes will be offered this spring, including Beginning Violin, Stretching for Everyone, Conversational Thai, Be Your Own Private Investigator, Gourd Art, Romancing the Tea, Fiction Lovers' Book Club, and dozens of others.

In addition to classes in Ventura, Community Education is also offering classes on the Moorpark College and Oxnard College campuses. Classes at all sites are generally held in the evening and on weekends to accommodate the schedules of busy adults throughout Ventura County.

"There is really nothing more fun than taking a class in a subject you've always wanted to try," notes Karen Gorback, Assistant Dean for Community and Economic Development at Ventura College. "It's a wonderful way to stretch your mind while getting out to meet new people. Community Education classes carry no college credits. This is education purely for the love of learning."

Classes begin throughout the spring. For more information or to register, go to www.communityed.venturacollege.edu or call the Ventura College Community Education office at (805) 654-6459.
