VISTA FORD OF OXNARD, RADIO LAZER 102.9 DELIVER CHRISTMAS SPIRIT TO LOCAL COMMUNITY
On December 13, more than 5,000 local residents waited in line with their children at the Centerpoint Mall to receive a gift of holiday cheer, courtesy of Vista Ford of Oxnard and Radio Lazer.
Families began lining up at 12:30 pm at the Centerpoint Mall in Oxnard on December 13, bringing with them the joyful spirit of Christmas. New friends were made as parents and children passed the time in line, all the while a happy buzz commemorating the human spirit of giving and receiving.
Steadfast supporters of the local community, Vista Ford of Oxnard partnered with Radio Lazer 102.9 for the opportunity to spread holiday cheer.
"It was wonderful for Vista Ford of Oxnard to share the spirit of the holiday with the community, and in particular the kids, something our dealership has committed to since opening our doors in 2000," said Randy Haddock, general manager. "The event was made particularly special thanks to our long-term sales associates Rene Flores, Fabian Mauricio and Martin Martinez and the partnership we shared with Radio Lazer."
"This was such a noble cause, which grew as the day went on," said Dan Chepley, a representative of Radio Lazer in Oxnard. "We had no idea the magnitude or the impact the spreading of holiday cheer would bring, and we wanted to make sure every child who attended the event did not go home without a new toy."
Flores, a resident of Oxnard since 1968 said being at the event solidified his pride in working for Vista Ford of Oxnard. "The support our dealership has for our community is so endearing," he said. "We were all pleased and surprised at how many people responded to this event. It really made us aware of how we can serve and help people."
"All the effort put forth was worth it to see so many smiles and joy, from infants to teenagers, and to see the appreciation and gratitude from parents," Flores said. "There was a real display of Christmas spirit."
Vista Ford of Oxnard is in the Oxnard Auto Center at 1501 Auto Center Drive. For more information, call 805-983-6511, or visit the Web site at www.vistaauto.com.
