The Performance Theatre for Young Artists is proud to present a magical musical play for the holiday season. "ONE WISH", an original play written by Ventura County artists, Marta Dewey and Linda Dumont, is a fantasy about a group a good natured fairies and elves; four mortals who wander into the magical garden befriending the fairies; a mischievous hobgoblin; and an evil sorceress trying to take control of this enchanted forest. The Sorceress has already cast a spell on the fairy garden, forbidding them to leave. But when the mortal James (Joey Santia) falls in love with the fairy Rose (Natalie Graham), the Sorceress (Rebecca Graham) who is also in love with James, kidnaps the young boy, Jacob (Jacob Gasperi) and casts a terrible spell on Rose. The fairies and their friends must join together to find a way to overcome the Sorceress' power.
Directed by Marta Dewey, "One Wish" is filled with love, romance, fun, laughter, drama and the spirit of good triumphant over evil. It's uplifting and universal theme makes it a wonderful event for the entire family. One Wish includes a cast of youth performers, ages 7-17, and a special appearance by Linda Dumont as the Fairy Queen.
Performances will be held at Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Rd., Ventura; December 9 th (6:00 pm)15 th (2:00 & 7:00 PM) & 16 th (4:00 PM Afternoon Tea & performance). In addition, 2 community outreach performances will be held at the "Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard", 1900 W. 5 th Street, Oxnard, December 7 th (7:00 PM) and 8 th (2:00 PM).
