Playing in the Santa Barbara October Fest Basketball Tournament at the USCB Thunder dome, The Ventura Heat took home the championship in the 8 th and 3/4 th grade divisions. This two-day tournament featured some very talented teams and was fun for all.

The 8 th grade team played like champions and wanted to win this tournament for their injured teammate Isaac Anderson who was injured in a basketball game the week before. With newcomer Jeremy Sanders playing like a seasoned member of the Heat, the 8 th grade team went undefeated on the way to the tournament championship.

8 th Grade Heat:

The 3/4 th grade team won the 3/4 th grade division and came in second in the 4 th grade division. This team is going to be something with their height and skills. Watching these young members of the Heat, you can tell there is a bright future for the Heat Basketball Club.
