The Dolphin Swim Team at the Ventura Family YMCA is getting ready to start its Winter 2008 season. The season runs from January 8 th- March 29 th. This novice team places emphasis on teamwork, stroke development and most important, having FUN! Participants swim three times a week for an hour and can participate in as many as 6 swim meets during the season. All 90 minute practices are comprised of 30 minutes of a land workout that includes stretching and team games followed by the swimming. Each season is concluded with a Championship Swim Meet that involves all 6 YMCA's in our league as well as a team party and awards. Participants aged 6-15 who can successfully complete a swim test are encouraged to join the team. This team is a great feeder team for High School sports.

Registration and try outs will begin on Friday, December 14 th at 4:00 PM at the Ventura YMCA Pool. The fee for YMCA facility members is $135 and $165 for program members for the 12 week season ($30 annual program membership is required for new non-facility members).
