Wow, what a weekend for the Ventura Heat Basketball Club. You had to be there to believe the total dominance the HEAT showed at the Swoosh Winter Classic at the UCSB Thunderdome. The 4 th, 5 th, 6 th and 8 th grade teams won championships and the 7 th grade came in third loosing in the semi finals. With a record of 18 wins and 1 loss, Coaches Richard Thomas and Gabe Kirkham proved they can spot and coach talent. The kids played like champions against some very stiff competition.

The Thumderdome was rocking as the HEAT tipped off against some of the best competition from Southern California and showed they are the real deal. All the HEAT players worked hard in practice and came into Santa Barbara with something to prove. The HEAT showed that good coaching and a strong work ethic can elevate them to the top as the 18 and 1 record and 4 championships shows. Congratulations to all the HEAT players and their parents. The teams will now take the holidays off and prepare for the upcoming NJB and City leagues.
